Sea World is the oldest of the theme parks on the Golf Coast. It originally started as a Water Ski show on the main Nerang river in Carrara in 1958. Thirteen years later it was located to its current home on the Spit and developed into the park it is today, adjoined by the Sea World Nara Resort.

Of course the Water Ski show is still running and has been expanded to included Jet Ski’s and speed boat stunts. Dolphin Shows, Shark Tanks, Seal Training displays and a fun and water park also provide a variety of things to do to fill in the day.

Perhaps the most popular displays in recent years have become the Polar Bears. The original two cubs, Lia and Lutik have now fully matured and have been joined by the two new additions, Hudson and Nelson. In a state of the art enclosure, they are exposed to frosts and icy waters, similar to they would experience in the wild.
