With so many thousands of kilometres of roads through-out Queensland you can bet you will come across road works at some stage in your travels.
At most road work sites, speed reductions are required and the appropriate signs are posted to advise on the approach, the start and also at the conclusion of the construction area. As allot of these areas require the workers to be close to existing traffic, it can be quite dangerous for them if amended traffic speeds are not obeyed by drivers.
Some road works will require you to drive short distances over un-sealed or uneven roads. Please be sure to adjust your speed and following distances to take in account of these changed conditions.
