It is law in Queensland that seat belts be worn by all passengers in a moving vehicle. Heavy fines may be applied to offenders and the driver of any vehicle that is found to be in breach. Seat belts save lives and we highly recommend that you ‘buckle up’.
Ensure that children travelling with you are secure in properly sized and fitted baby or booster seats. Children seats should be securely fastened with manufacture approved ‘anchor bolts and points’.
In many high speed accidents, drivers and passengers have avoided more serious injury by wearing a seatbelt.
