Phillip Island is located approximately 140 kilometres south-west of Melbourne. The Island is a wildlife reserve, designed to protect and bring awareness to the plight of the small ‘Fairy Penguins’.

The Island is connected to the mainland by a bridge. About a 5 minute drive onto the island you will find a Visitor Centre where you can purchase tickets to the Penguin Parade. This will save you queuing at the actual entrance. The best time of day to see the ‘parade’, when the penguins return from a days fishing to the sand dunes, is right on sunset.

In stark contrast to the wonders of the Penguins and other wildlife, Phillip Island is also home to the 4.5 km Race Track Circuit used for V8 Supercars and MotoGP races. For the rest of the year the track is used for Go-Carts and HSV driver training and hotlaps.
